completed scene

This is a scene where the fox gets taken from its cage, it is a little jittery in places but not too bad.
Unfortunatly i do not think we will have time for any reshoots as the deadline is so close.
Animating the fox was quite easy, it was a big puppet and so needed smaller movements than a regular puppet but i am pleased with how the animation turned out. Pixilation was new for me, only recently have i been pixilated myself and i used the experience of this when working with my fellow animators.
I am so far happy with how things are going and am filiming again tomorow, hopefully we can get everything finished and ready to edit by some point next week.

These are some finalised images of the fox, the image with the fox in the cage was taken when creating a photo walkthrough for the film.

Creating full sized puppet

After many many weeks we created our fox, heres how we went about making him.

First we created a huge metal armature

Mini modle

I first built a miniture version of the puppet to see what it would look like and how it would animated and be made.

Getting started

Our film is going to be quite disturbing, the stop motion side especially, the animation will show a caught fox being killed and its fur ripped from its body.

For this project we will have to create a life sized fox that will be animated alongside a pixilated human who will hang it up and cut off its fur.

Creating a life sized puppet is something i had never attempted before, but seemed like fun.
